There are THREE categories of information for referees, please see below for the information that relates to you.
This will be the equivalent of a level 4 course and enable each club to provide referees to games, if necessary. In attending this course, at NO CHARGE to attendees, they will gain the necessary knowledge to cover games in the unlikely event of a shortage of a referee.
The course will run from 10:00am to 3:00pm and once completed the attendees will receive a participation certificate and more importantly, put them on the list of club officials that will be paid FULL rate equivalent to any other referee. The course includes refreshments and lunch will be provided.
Course for NEW referees (Boys and Girls turning 14 in 2016 and up to adult/seniors)

We have been inundated over the last week with requests for us to extend the early registration incentives with the main reason being people being away or are a little strapped for cash following the XMAS period.
The amount of requests are far more than we normally receive so the club has decided to extend one of the early rego incentives.
1) The Sibling Discount offered for the second and youngest family member has ceased after the 31st December and the standard club sibling discount will continue for the third and subsequent youngest family members.
2) The free training aid and ball for players up to U7’s as well as the free training jersey offer for players in U8’s and older has been extended until midnight of the18th January 2016 after which it will cease and not be extended further.
As we have now passed 600 players registered, we again remind our members to register promptly as some age groups are highly likely to be closed by mid January.
I’d like to take this opportunity to inform you that Castle Hill United will be playing in the Sydney Hills Football Association for season 2016. This is significant change for us, and a decision that has not been taken lightly. Where we played as a club and community has been discussed at length by your committee. I can assure you that countless hours have been spent assessing options in consultation with other clubs, associations, and also Football NSW. Of greater importance however is that we sought guidance from you our members, and for that reason we conducted polls both at the start and end of this year’s winter comp.
What has been clear from our surveys and your feedback is that the overwhelming majority of our members wish to play in a Hills community based association that will be managed by Hills people for Hills people. Couple your support with the willing and open dialogue between Hills clubs and you have an environment where all are co-operating to help ensure Sydney Hills Football Association is a success. It is for these reasons that I believe Castle Hill United will continue to be instrumental in driving the future of football in the Hills, and that we all have a part to play to help ensure the continued development of our sport. It is expected that 7000 players from 11 clubs will play in our inaugural season. With 35% population growth in the Hills forecast over the next 10 years, the SHFA will flourish year on year.
Registration for Season 2016 will commence next week. I’m pleased to announce that Castle Hill United will not be increasing registration fees from this year and can confirm early registration incentives of kick-ball training aids, custom designed CHU training strips, and additional sibling discounts. You will find more information on registration and grading dates on our website www.castlehillfootball.com.au in the coming days.
On a personal level I’d like to also take this opportunity to thank you for the continued support and patience extended to both the committee and I as we have worked through this process. It’s has been neither easy nor fast, however I wholeheartedly believe the right decision has been made. Have a safe and happy holiday break and I look forward to seeing you all return for grading in 2016.
