All Abilities Program- Football4All

All Abilities Football is an inclusive approach to football.

At Castle Hill United Football Club we have been running our All Abilities program for over 9 years.  In 2024, we are proud to be offering 2 All Abilities programs.

Our programs are designed for children 5-19 years old and run continuously throughout the winter football season (April – August), offering an inclusive, fun and welcoming environment for everyone who wants to come and play football with their friends.

This program is a great starter for children to try football and for those who prefer to play football within a more social and less competitive environment.

While we do not play competitive games, we can play in FNSW and Hills Football gala days and potentially against other All Abilities clubs throughout the season.

We can also help to facilitate a transition into a mainstream team for the following season if players want to progress their football further. We currently have 4 players who have or are currently transitioning into competitive teams.

Our players also have the opportunity to participate in referee & coaching programs.  This can be the traditional or modified program for those who want to learn how to coach or referee a game, developing leadership skills while in a supportive, non-threatening and fun environment.  This is an option for anyone aged 13 years or older.

All Abilities Mixed Football

Runs every Saturday morning throughout the winter season.

Time: Saturday morning – approx. 9.45 – 11.00 am (final time for 2024 will be confirmed in late March)

Location: Field 1, Fred Caterson Reserve, Castle Hill

In our mixed program, boys and girls come together each week where they learn and play football under the guidance of our 7 lead coaches and a number of coaching assistants.

Registration for the season is only $10, and players can join any time.

All Abilities Girls Football

Runs every 3rd week throughout the winter season

Time: approx 11.45am to 12.45pm

Times and dates for 2024 will be confirmed in early March

Location: Field 1, Fred Caterson Reserve, Castle Hill

This program is designed to bring girls together across all football clubs.  It is a complimentary program to regular All Abilities programs, inviting girls currently registered with CHUFC or ANY OTHER football club in NSW to come every 3 weeks during the season.  Games are on Sundays – the same day our girls/ladies teams play.  For players registered with CHUFC or any other FNSW club, there is no cost to join the program.  For players not registered for the 2024 season, they can register with CHUFC for a one-time $10 rego fee at any time throughout the season.

Club Gear requirements

Players are provided with the current Club Shirt to wear each week.

Club shorts and socks are available to buy from the club canteen.

While it is not a requirement to wear football boots, all players MUST wear shin pads, which can be purchased at the club canteen or most sporting stores.

Cancellations

Sessions are only cancelled if the fields get closed because they are deemed unsafe to play by either the council or the club. We may still be on even if it is raining; however, we encourage each family to decide what is right for their child, given the weather.  Any ground closures will be communicated via Team App and the CHUFC Facebook page.

ParaMatildas visit CHUFC Girls All Abilities

On Sunday 7th August, 2022 our Girls All Abilities team had 2 very special guests – Georgia Beikoff and our very own Eloise Northam from the ParaMatilda’s.  Both had recently returned from their successful campaign at the 2022 IFCPF Women’s World Cup in Spain where the team won Silver.

Georgia and Eloise enjoyed kicking a ball with the girls while they played red light/green light, knock the Ball off, and 3vs3 pass and shooting games.
